Join us on a special journey to experience the famous kalash festivals in the remote mountains of northern Pakistan. This tour takes you into the unique world of the Kalash people, known for their colourful dresses, wooden houses, and centuries-old traditions.

During the festival, you will witness dancing, singing, and traditional clothes worn by men, women, and kalash girls. The Kalash Valley includes three main valleys: Bumburet, Rumbur and Birir. Each valley offers its own charm and cultural feel.

The festivals take place three times a year:

Chilam Joshi Festival (spring, May 13–16)

Uchal Festival (summer, around August 20–22),

Choimus Festival (winter, around December 15–22)  depending on the season.

Kalasha people live in remote valleys surrounded by the Hindu Kush mountains, and their traditions remain unique in Pakistan.

Arrival in Islamabad

  • Arrive in Islamabad and transfer to your hotel. Rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Fly from Islamabad to Chitral

  • Take a domestic flight to Chitral. Enjoy views of the Hindu Kush mountains.

Explore Chitral Town

  • Visit local markets and walk around Chitral. Learn about the region’s history before entering the Kalash Valley.

Drive to Kalash Valley

  • Travel by road into the beautiful Kalash Valley. Check into your guest house and explore the nearby village.

First Festival Day

    • Enjoy the festival celebrations. Watch traditional dances, meet kalash girls in their colourful dresses, and observe rituals practiced by the kalash people.

Festival and Village Life

  • Another full day of festival events. Learn more about kalash culture, their food, music, and village traditions. Interact with locals and understand the history behind the festival.
07

Easy Day in the Valley

  • A relaxed day to walk around villages, take photos, or hike a short trail. This is a good day to observe daily life and understand more about the kalash people religion.
08

Chitral to Islamabad

  • Drive back to Chitral and fly to Islamabad. Overnight in a hotel.

Departure Day

  • Transfer to Islamabad Airport for your flight home. End of tour.
